These meat tenderizers are made from solid wood right here in Vermont. We have ensured that the handle won't snap (it's 7/8" thick) and the mallet head will tenderize the toughest of meats! We also glue and pin the head onto the handle for toughness! I use mine to tenderize chicken breasts on a weekly basis for over 7 years and it's never failed. The mallet head has 1/2" pyramids on one end and 1/4" pyramids on the other side for smaller cuts. A great piece of American Craftsmanship! Price is for mallet in your choice of wood!
